I think I had a bottle of this last summer and I vaguely remember it being tight and lean. The year in the cellar has done it well. Nice cherry, herb, mineral nose. Still crisp and youthful in the mouth, but the fruit is apparent and pure tasting. Nice balance of intensity and refreshment.

The barkeep told me that us foreigners (not from NYC) drink more of these New York wines than locals - too bad because the top selling cold wine - a Sancerre was a piece of shit at $2. more a glass - narrow minded punyism!
This was an upright refreshing rose with just the right touch of earthiness.

This is quite good for 13$. And I was just about ready to say the Garagiste wines I ordered were somewhat mediocre on the whole. Perhaps I should say they are upper mediocre class for QPR.
