I keep reading "fruit forward" and thinking what wine are you drinking? Maybe time or vintage changes. I taste big pepper and spice, a bit of twangy blueberry, and some vanilla amidst the tannins. Bone dry and lovely for the price point.

Medium plus concentration of garnet red consistent from core to thin cranberry rim. Classic CA cab fruit forward and concentrated nose with black berry, black currant, cassis and coconut. Well structured medium body, medium acid. medium plus plushy, long lasting astringency delivers a long finish dominated by jammy black fruit, peppery spice, and well integrated vanilla. Good balance but the heat shows a bit at 13.9%. Initially I gave this wine an 8 but the finish was longer than I initially noted. Good quality for the $$ as always with 90+ Cellars
