Lovely stuff. Pale straw, lemons, oily white flowers. Quite rich. A soft salinity and minerality underneath.

Pale to mid Lemon in colour. Smells like it could be lean - Lemons and white flowers but it’s quite fulsome on the palate with white peach and a saline touch. I have to agree with Tanzer’s note with aromas of citrus peel and wet stone. Sometimes I have a high quality Australian Chardonnay like Leeuwin Art Series, Bindi Quartz or Penfolds Yattarna and wonder why I would bother with a more expensive Premier Cru white Burgundy. Once I tasted this I could see where that extra $100 went.

Really singing now. Open and expressive. Lime and flint with yellow flowers, chalk. Amazing balance, acidity and depth. Really good.

Something a bit funny here. A hint of melon. Lemon and limpid lime and rocks. Good, but lacks a bit of the punch and the jolt of acid you’d expect at this age.

At Batard in NYC. Popped and poured. Light gold. Great burg effervesce in the nose with bright stone pit fruit, honeysuckle and river stone. Early it's tight but with air it opens with lots of complexity that says this is good stuff. Long finish. Last sip is the best.
