A whiff of oxidation on the nose. Honeyed, white flowers. Lemon oil. On the palate fresher, quite rich, lovely intensity and good balance. Slight sherry hints at the edges. Very good but drunk up- bothersome, and why I’ve stopped buying Leflaive.

I have opened several bottles over the years, but now the wine starts to give. Nice refined buttery nose. Some of the once firm minerals toned down. So the wine in now much more lucious, almost volluptious. Very modest wood. Alimond bitters. Fresh enough to match the richness of salmon and lobster.

Medium gold color, thankfully looks young. Fruity nose. Notes of lemon cream, sweet kiwi, apricot, spice, stones and clay soil. Rich and expansive in the mouth. With 4 hours of air the impact hit full throttle. Glad I kept some 02 Leflaive. Rolling the dice every now and then turns up a winner.

Almost medium gold. Nice weight. Fruit forward nose. Notes of Meyer lemon, white acacia flowers, wet river stones and some pineapple. Rich in the mouth with a solid backbone of acidity. Long finish. Really good.

Developed. Very poised and balanced. Clear and quite tangy, notes of orange and almost aged semi loon- like stuff. Interesting and still fresh. Good.

Slightly more advanced in this company. Mellow rounded oily lemon with a hint of sandalwood. Nice balance and poise. In the more advanced and secondary style compared to some of the 2010’s with more punch

Medium gold color, a little darker than I expected. Sweet nose, notes of honeysuckle, white flowers and earthy spice. Missing the mineral, stony petrol notes that are usually found. Rich fruit in the mouth but overall flat impact. Even with more air this seems tired with no acidity backbone. Maybe this was a mistreated bottle at some point.
