Famille Faiveley Domaine de la Framboisiére Mercurey Pinot Noir

A light Ruby red in colour. Scents of red fruits like strawberry and light cherry, some sappiness. A light to medium weight palate which was soft and fresh. Short term uncomplicated drinking. A Monopole from Faiveley. Tasted the last bottle 18 weeks later on 21st January 2020 with the same unimpressive notes. I guess you don’t get much for $55 in Burgundy. Reduced the score to 88 points.

A fantastic Mercury Monopole from Faiveley. Very approachable now, however will benefit over time.

Quaffable for sure - lots of berry but not much depth to write home about.

Capa y densidad baja, en nariz buena potencia, muy floral rosas, lavanda, fresas silvestres. En boca entrada ligera, poco peso y estructura, final poco trascendente... Otro pinot noir que no me seduce. Carooooo

Medium ruby colored, the 2018 Faiveley Mercurey La Framboisière is proof that excellent wines can be made from that lesser known appelation. Offering a delicate scent of rose pedal, fresh red cherry and strawberry, dried herbs, cedar wood and a touch of smoke, this medium bodied Pinot Noir is very well balanced by fresh acidity, good fruit concentration and ripe, fine grained tannins. This is a rock solid effort from Faiveley. Drink now until 2035.

Really subtle better taken as an aperitif

Very light and airy! Enjoyed the 2013 vintage in Nov 2016. Hints of flowers: roses and lavender.

Good standard.
