Standard California Zin on the nose, maybe showing a little smokiness. Overall, nothing to write home about but a welcome friend at a bar with limited options.

This clearly says Lodi on the label not Sonoma ---- Consistent, translucent, reflective, medium plus ruby red. Medium plus aromatics prominently feature well integrated vanilla, baked blueberry, dried fruit, buttery pie crust. Surprisingly elegant mouthfeel considering the high alcohol 14.5% which throws only a sight warming sensation in the throat and very little glycerol. Well balanced medium plus ripe tannin, juicy medium acid and medium body. Fruit explodes on the palate and immediately penetrates the nasal cavity. Aromas on the nose are duplicated on the palate with the addition of baked plum and coffee on the long finish. A very good zin for $15. Highly recommend for New world cab Sauvignon lovers.

Surprisingly good. Flavors of black fruits (a plum is very strong), spices (especially pepper) and coffee. Robust finish with dominating coffee flavor.

It's bold for a zin, but a lot of character too. Another good Lodi wine.

Definite spice / pepper, but subtle as opposed to overbearing. Add to that a hint of cherry and rich aromas. Great bargain.

Watery. Not bold. Ate with steak. Not for me. Split with Brandon and Robert.
