Italian themed, pizza +wine night! 2013 drinking in 2020. Second time with this after my first was a dud several months ago. This one is superb. Lots of acidity and fruit with balanced oak integration and notes of cherry vanilla plum black cherry and chocolate

Oct 22nd, 20207 years of age have treated this... interestingly. aromas suggest more age than it has which could be due to a fault. Nice balance if not a bit thinner than expected. Notes of burnt cherry, leather blackberry earthy. Nice taste, but slightly offput by the aromas. Could be a bad bottle.

2014 vintage. Colour suggests that there is more than a drop of Merlot and/or Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. Well-made in a international style, but no Chianti Rufina typicity whatsoever. Nippozzano was so much more interesting 15 years ago.
