Deep Ruby with aromas of red berry fruit, tea and sweet herb spices. On the palate ripe cherry and strawberry flavors, with some dried fruit notes, oak, pepper spices and vanilla tones. Fine tannins with balanced acidity carry this rich wine to a long finish. Great now with a bit of age!

First bottle was corked the second one was fine. A California fruit bomb par excellence. Very dark and highly extracted. Dark berries and sweet. >14%. Almost a Cab. Good if you like this style but not for me.

Had another bottle to try. Wow wine seemed to pop. Light ruby color with red fruit aromas, currants and a touch of floral. The palate shows ripe sweet black cherry and raspberry with vanilla and toasty oak in a smooth mouthfeel. With lively acidity, the finish displays some spice and has long length carrying the fruit to the end.

Not a lot of complexity, already losing steam for a 2011

Dark, sweet and quintessentially Russian River. Beautiful aromas and mouth-filling flavors.
