Deep Ruby with purple edges, aromas of dark fruits, herbs and spice. On the palate flavors of cherry, plum and licorice with spicy notes. Medium finish, dusty tannins, vivid acidity ending with fruit and spice.

Good Pinot, and much better overall than CA/OR Pinots in the same price range. New Zealand just works for me.

Tart cherries, fresh paved black asphalt, rubber band, fluoride. Too austere for me.

Spiced cherry and strawberry, with a lavender and herbal tea that has some dank undertones. Tart and savory, but in an extroverted style. As you'd expect from a sub-$20 NZPN, it's on the lean side, but this put cherry pie on my mind more than once. A loam and sea salt driven minerality rounds out the clean finish with complexity.
