Enjoyed this, like I usually do with all Brouilly. The côte has a special place in my heart.
There’s a nice orange peel element to this, good citrus notes coupled with bright cherries. The acid makes it a little drier than one might like, I feel the 2018 could use a bit more aging but think it will be better with time.

Excellent Cotes du Rhone. Soft upfront with good fleshed out mid palate from the Syrah. Slightly tannic and structured.

Nice and smooth. Light tannins, taste like strawberries, and dark cherries with a little pepper on the back of the palette. Nice berry aroma.

I love Cotes du Rhone. I always have. While i know many sing the praises of a fine Bordeaux, and Bourgogne is pretty amazing...for me, the wine of the Rhone Valley has rarely disappointed and always provided me with a complex drink worth contemplating. L. Tramier & Fils from Linteau is such a complex wine. The 2012 varietal is dark, ruby-blood cloudy red. The nose is powerfully upfront with black currant, cherry, musk, and a sour undertone that I (initially) thought was taint, but it's not...it's like the smell of an unripened tomato on the vine. Light mouthfeel and dry black pepper on the palate. This screams for decanting and when it opens up it'll go from astringent to smooth with a long, satisfying finish that forces you to think hard about it. This is a fantastic Cotes du Rhone, well worth the $15 US PP. highly recommended, but ONLY if you're into the Rhone.
