Throwing shade at the β€˜11 vintage haters. Cassis and a tar and gravel chaser. Racy tannins.

Great example of letting the varietals marry and partner with the oak to create a wonderful experience in your mouth! The glass stopper is novel, and the wine is a perfect prelude to the premium beef that was consumed afterwards. This wine is still a little young.

Great balance and oak treatment. Warm simmering baking spices on the nose. Tart red fruit that was still tight after 2 hours in the decanter. Could actually use more time in the bottle. Label says .04% Petit Verdot but I could swear it’s closer to .05-.06%. Maybe even .07%. I go back and forth.

This wine is amazingly cab franc centric, on the nose and on the palette. We decanted the wine for one hour and it was extremely approachable. The Cabernet is in the back palette and a very nice accent that grows in your mouth as the wine finishes.

We allowed it to decant for a couple of hours. Started tight, but is smooth. Started with a little spice, which seemed to disappear as it opened up more. Lots of fruit flavor
