A lot more mellow, though some tannins, but not as sharp as a cab daub or Syrah. Maybe some cedar wood. A smell I can't describe but like a lot.

Fantastic example of a sagrantino. Seems to be peaking at 9 years old, this wine had beautiful layers of berries on the nose with just a hint of leather and earth. It was Italy in a glass. Awesome.
