What an incredible privilege to be able to open a wine this old, it is really unbelievable that the wine was alive and so good. Notes of smokiness and some berries, really really nice. I wasn’t expecting anything, and I was pleasantly surprised.

A Classic California Zin. However this bottle showed less fruit than prior bottles. That said, 2 hours of air help to open it. Amazing for an 80 year old wine. Needs air. A legend.
