The 2015 DeAngelis Rosso Piceno Superiore is spicy and wonderfully fresh from the first tilt of the glass, showing woodland berries, peppery herbs, eucalyptus and crushed stone, while delivering cool-toned red and blue fruits, energizing acidity and pretty inner florals on the palate. $17.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2020)

Vintage 2013 - from Montepulciano and Sangiovese. It's all in here: dark colour, purple rim, cherries, raspberries, a shy sweet touch, a friendly taste. Crowd pleaser, a very sympathetic wine from Marche Italy. Smart restaurant wine, combined well with Tunafish and Iberico. At restaurant De Eetkamer, Goirle.
