Was good but nothing special. Decent body but limited complexity. Nice mixture of fruit, medium finish.

Oct 21st, 2021Go big or go home. That’s what this wine was telling us. Amarone at its best. Rich, complex, strong backbone and a mouth smacking finish. RoAnne was texting me that she found this rich garlicky, cheesy pizza and was bring it home. So I had to find something that could stand up to it. And it did. With all guns blazing.

An amazing Amarone. Air or decant well before drinking. Full bouquet of overripe red fruits, leather and mint. Luscious, very full-bodied and with a very long finish. Great with truffle, mushrooms, porcini and beef Wellington.
