Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru Chardonnay

Ever so slightly oxed but like...it’s 24 years old. And it’s really damn good. Got that lovely old white wine dehydrated pee color. Nutty, butterscotch, marzipan, lemon curd, baked apple, creamy tangerine, mineral, iodine, smoke. And the acid is still so lively. Still evolving after 90 minutes.

And exotic nose with peaches and a hint of melon. Very bright and focused. Lovely balance and clarity. Very good.

Sweet and honeyed, with a hint of orange zest. Very broad and complex with oft and detailed acidity. Hints of spice. Delicious

@Shawn R @David L Tasted side by side next to the 2012 Edge Hill. Stunning to say the least. Both wines were still opening up after 3 hours! !! Badass guys deserve badass wine!!! I had to pull something from the cellar that paired with this dynamic duo!!!

More power than the Bienvenues. More citrus than orchard fruit with good freshness.

Gorgeous nose. The palate needs time but opens up beautifully.
