Wonderful spice notes and structure. With high acid and med + tannin, it could take one down a BdM pathway. Slight raisin and plum brings it back towards Amarone. Outrageous for <$60. Buy!

Shadowy ruby. Delicious. Fragrant with raisin, red fruit, blackberry, goji berry, herbal spices, blood orange, a bit of chocolate, leather and earth. Nice acidity and brightness on the palate, with just a pleasant balancing touch of sweetness. Feels like it’s in the prime of its evolution, with some fruit remaining but developing complexity. Could definitely go another 5 or more years. I think it would be really great with duck.

Dark ruby red with a slight rust rim. Medium nose intensity with forest floor, mushroom, barnyard funk layered over strewed blackberry and ripe cranberry. Medium plus body with medium plus acidity. Alcohol is well balanced. Black cherry, tart blackberry, unsweetened chocolate and dried cranberry on the palate. Drying tannins on the finish, but not overpowering. Medium finish. Acidity is surprisingly refreshing and keeps the wine lively.

Very dark and dense. Honestly not something I typically but from a technical standpoint it’s a very good wine. In terms of age it has moved well beyond the primary flavors already. Probably could stand many more years but I think it’s showing cool now.

I miss Marta. Her offspring are on to something. Densely flavored but light on its feet. A tad porty. Which is nice. So many wonderful flavors. Perfect for the season. And a real future.

Harmony epitomed. Perhaps surprisingly ready but superior.
