Now this felt like a typical 03’. Ripe and plush, I thought it was a 07’ left bank Bordeaux. Close enough? Haha. Dusty, leathery, and still-oaky nose, with a blackberry jam-like character which treads on drying out. Also notes of coffee and some herbs. It does feel quite Cabernet-dominant on the nose although it’s not. On the palate, it was very rich and even fat at times. The tannins were mouth-filling and sticky which stumped me a little (felt a little Merlot-like, yet not), but made sense upon reveal. Can’t say I enjoyed this much, but it’s definitely got complexity and substance. I’d need the right food pairing to enjoy this.

Black currant, cassis notes with a touch of tobacco. A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Sangiovese. Earlier vintages were predominantly Sangiovese until the Cabernet got established and now its the other way round. The Cabernet certainly showing its muscle at the moment. Good length finishing with fine dry tannins. Bruce Sanderson had a drinking window up to 2024 but I think it will go well beyond that. Final bottle in a few years.

Initially a great cross between Left Bank Bordeaux and Tuscany which is at it proved to be - 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Sangiovese. Some evidence of small French Oak but very much in the background. Rose petal and spicy plum. First of 3 - next in a year or two. Not ultra long term like quality Bordeaux. Fine persistent tannins. A very good Super Tuscan.

Ruby, garnet
Amazing sour cherry that enriches the whole taste, balsamic, aromatic and medical herbs; hints of truffle and iron
Velvety. Superstar!!!
Exciting 🙏🙏

Ruby fairly concentrated
Loads of fruit, earthy tones
Mineral veins
Maybe it lacks elegance, it's balsamic, but it seems a little too modern at first sight
Anyway it can be picked if you know the wine well even though there is drastic change in the winemaking in this vintage
Wider rather than vertical 😳😳

A delight. Showing plenty of youth in an expressive nose of red and dark layers. Fine tannins, acidity. A beauty, Viva L'Italia

Very subtle, very complex, tannins hide some fruit but the finish is long with fruit and herbs. Needs time, but oh boy.
