Corton Grand Cru Pinot Noir

Very good structure and complexity...notes of cranberry, fresh strawberries and spices

Upside surprise. Better than i thought it would be for a 95. Iron ore metallic nice fruit.

Quite light garnet , terracotta rim . Quite discreet at first , sous bois , touches of spice , a mineral , chalky element also . On the palate quite mineral with light red berry notes , sous bois , light spice . Quite refreshing acidity with still gritty , slightly bitter tannins . Quite elegant and small boned, quite light and relatively elegant in style . Nothing wrong with this, though doesn’t really shine either . Good to drink now and over the next 5 - 8 years or so.

Note this is the LJ Corton GC - very cobwebby on the nose as expected but very impressive fruit retention - almost sweet - with late tones of forest floor; somewhat acidic

Not super into wine yet but I did enjoy this. Drank it at my first wine class.

The least exciting of the night. Perhaps somewhat unfortunate, as it was still a delicious wine. Just lacked the complexity against the Mazis and Bonne Mares. A little one dimensional.
