Castillon Côtes De Bordeaux Red Bordeaux Blend

Suggested by the buyer at Costco. Good price point, good taste. A bit better after breathing. I'd definitely have it again.

Cigar box warmth gives way to plums, black currants, and dark chocolate finish. Slightly astringent at first, but does open after a bit of decanting.

Solid right-bank Bordeaux performer straight outta Costco. Didn't know anything about it beforehand. Shows basics of a fine wine - cigar box depth marries well with the fruit. Ends on a sanguine iron note. Pairs very well with Lebanese lamb dinner. The slight astringent finish is smoothed away by the food, showcasing the best components of the wine. Earthy and spicy. Bang on Bordeaux

Lots of wet clay, gravely, earthy notes. Some tomato and herb. Fruit is actually light but plum and current are there. Short-medium finish. Nice tannin.

Not for me. Stale oak taste.

Nice Bordeaux with a hint of cherry on the finish.
