The Viognier makes this taste quite different than other Aussie Shiraz. Can't put my finger on it yet!

Wintergreen, blueberry muffin and lilac nose. Really free associating tonight. Fruity, black currant , not complex, Enjoyable and a good price. I'm impressed with yalumba. Their wines are inexpensive and fun.

Black cherry, blackberry, and spice. Almost an almond character on the nose along with the vanilla aroma the oak provides. Good balance overall; medium acid and medium+ alcohol. Medium-long finish. Would benefit from an hour or so of decanting; all I could taste for the first few minutes was oak, which isn't wholly unpleasant, but it made the wine seem kind of monotone at first.

The Viognier has an interesting effect; adds some fruit and smooths out the Shiraz a bit. Wonderful fruit from the red side as well. Great sharp Shiraz that finishes nicely!

This is a really good wine! It opens quickly and is accessible right away. Great fruit, excellent and very rich fruit; great spice including pepper and a little vanilla. Has nutty undertones and a port-like nose. Drank well with spicy food. Overall great!
