Grey [Glacier] Single Block Las Terrazas Vineyard Pinot Noir

This Chilean Pinot Noir offers a nose that is heavy with cola, black tea and coffee grounds. The savory aromas actually outweigh the fruit. It is a medium-weight wine, not very deeply tinted, and it rides light on the palate. The acidity is brisk and the tannins firm. This is not a Burgundian take on the grape, for certain. It is more playful than elegant, more rustic than beautiful.

Took a gamble on a PA state store “Chairman’s Selection “. Very good, went well with my home-cooked steak, would get again.

Subtle flavor

2013: medium, smooth, smoky black cherry, plum aroma. light and a great starter wine

Red fruit (pomegranate and strawberry) on the nose with a hint of blackberries. Big oak flavor. Acidic wine and very fruity. Big and juicy.
