It gives you the idea of how big a pinot in Burgundy could be. This wine has defeated time. It looks like it could age easily another 5 years or more I dare to say.
It has a tannin nearly chewable, it has complexity and it is very long.
For a 21yo 1er Cru it is quite amazing how young is this wine. Not a peak, but already approachable for the wine expert, a real treat it would be indeed actually.

Tawny and amber. Light and translucent. Notes of light raspberry, brown spice and a little sandalwood. Fruit is thin on the finish, but for an almost 40 yr old wine, it's singing with its bouquet.

A bright transparent ruby red core, on the nose the bouquet has high intensity with notes of red fruits, smoky earth, roses, red cherry, and mushrooms with subtle herbaceous notes. The palate is masculine with great balance and structure with a long finish. Drink now through 2025.
