This is in its final year or two but it is delicious. Better with air, the palate is full of black cherry, cassis, stewed plum, with exceptional oak integration. I can’t imagine paying $80 a bottle, but I found this for $19.25 and it WAY over delivered at that insane price point.

Still with incredible red/black fruits, leather, coffee, med plus tannis, acid well balanced, oak (french) obviously present with some new oak. Delicious, paired it with nothing!

Surprisingly, this was my first Paul Hobbs experience. I know the Roy Estate was WOTN, but based on overall value, this may take the cake. Not as age worthy as the Roy, but this is straight up velvet right now. Dark in the glass, slow legs, and an absolute treat to enjoy.

This wine is tasting better this time than last time - subtle tannins but plenty of dark fruit structured into the wine - finish is good but still a little young for me
