Interestingly, the 2009 Extra Brut Grand Vintage Rosé is quite a bit tighter and pointed than the Blanc. Here, it is the wine’s energy and tension that stand out most. It will be interesting to see if the 2009 gains a bit more volume over time. Even today, though, the 2009 is beautifully resonant and expressive, with striking vinous intensity driving through to the finish. Hints of orange peel, mint, chalk and blood orange add shades of character. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2018)

Brilliant. Slight strawberry nose, tart flavors, great acid and mellowed by the creaminess..paired with hard cheeses.

Takes some time after opening it to pick up volume.

This dry, serious rosé has a strong orange peel flavor that reminds me of Campari. It went very well with pulled pork. Does at 5g/l and composed of 46% Pinot Noir, 32% Chardonnay and 22% Meunier.

Perfect balance of fruit and acid. Luscious and bright with a slight sugar cookie quality.

Overlooked and underrated. This vintage is showing tremendously well right now.

Aged 11 years on lees. Rust/Salmon color in the glass. Earth-driven aromatics with dried cranberry, strawberry, raspberry. Dry and complex on the palate, very refined. Medium length finish.

Too fruity, not enough yeast for a vintage champagne. The cat agrees.
