Well rounded cab, very evenly balanced. This wine would pair wonderfully with food or by itself. Wonderful value for the money. This bottle was given to me by a local distributor as a sample.

Founded in 1973 in the Sonoma Valley, Chateau St. Jean produces an extensive portfolio of Sonoma County wine, including the award winning Cinq Cépages, a Bordeaux style blend of “five varieties." From various vineyards on Sonoma, wine shows black fruit aromas and sweet spice. On the palate ripe fruit flavors of blackberry and cherry with cinnamon and cacao. Tannins are finr with balanced acidity on medium+ finish.

Bold. Very serious flavor without sitting TOO heavy.

Founded in 1973 in the Sonoma Valley, CSJ produces an extensive portfolio of Sonoma County and vineyard designated Reserve wines. Deep red with berry and spice on the nose. Flavors of dark berry fruits with pepper and cinnamon show nice depth on a savory frame, firm tannins and a medium finish. Nice value.

Made the WS top 100 list. It's a solid value, but in my mind has no business on that list. It's tightly wound and is a good value wine. I do like this winery as they are consistent, but let's not get ahead of ourselves 😏
