Lightly flavored version of varietal. Lemon, grapefruit, some orchard fruit, grass, some hay, some skin astringency on finish. Entry level version for WA state. Super inexpensive. Firm acid but a tad thin

Nice light flavors of citrus, grapefruit and apple. Paired with fried fish and creamy Parmesan brussel sprouts. Nice on a warm Florida night.

Sipping Fine Wine

Founded in 1934, Chateau Ste. Michelle is the oldest winery in Washington with some of the most mature vineyards in the Columbia Valley. Light bright yellow with bouquet of tropical and citrus fruits. On the palate pineapple, grapefruit, melon and lemon citrus, crisp. Lively acidity ending with earthy mineral and herb grassy tones. Better that ‘15.

Simple wine that aromatically pleasing with gooseberries, straw, musky, and pine. Depending on the temperature you get a vodka like hit. Little sugar on the tongue, while the mouthfeel crisp and clean.

Hints of fine winter cherry recently pulled from the tree, top notes of onion and guacamole, contextual clues of the palpable anticipation of streaming the full Justin Bieber album, the saltiness of 2 teardrops from nearly missing the sunset but then pulling them back when you realize the lighting after sunset is perfection. Apple, lemon, cherry, and grapes (duh). Essence of winter Oreo.

I'm not a big Sauvignon Blanc fan but I thought this one was pretty good. The nose is understated and floral, but the wine is sharply citric on the tongue. Served cold and with light food it was very nice. Finishes pretty dry. Has a hint of effervescence which makes it more interesting. Overall a better-than-decent wine.
