Probably a little past its prime. Pronounced oxidation with a minty, herbaceous quality. Definitely leaning more toward the savory end of the spectrum. A slight bit of black pepper still.

Dark red fruits, a little spice, a little tannin. Really accentuates and compliments spicy food.

Burns the tongue. Feels citrusy again but more of a grapefruit than a lemon. Ack.

american shiraz from seattle area where red hot chili peppers come from ;-) this one is also red, dark purple red. nose is typical, bringing blueberry and plum. in mouth well balanced, deep, powerful, with earthy, oak, chocolate and blueberry notes. dry, medium tannic and… very smooth. nice.

My first Washington state wine.
Syrah is not my favorite strain. But the wine is tasty. Silky tannins, ripe plum and overripe cherry, earthy. I will probably not repeat it, but for the new pin on the map it was worth it.

Very nice Columbia Valley Syrah. Dark purple colour, aromas of blackberry, vanilla and oak. Hints of chocolate and pepper spice punch through on the palate.
