Charmes Meursault 1er Cru Chardonnay

Great vintage. Has gracefully started its descent. Very Meursault in its character.

nose of shortbread and white flowers ~ flavors of various orchard fruits w a hint of citrus and some spice

Decent bottle of juice for the money.

Liquid gold. This old vintage is turning to gold color yet, after so many years, the original smooth flavor remains.

Pale green in color w/gorgeous nose of honey, roasted hazelnuts, orchard & citrus fruit & gala apples, w/hints of vanilla & coconut. Soft & supple on mid-palate w/smooth clean finish. Just a bit flabby in the middle, but really delicious.

Pleasant but nothing special. This does not benefit from the increased age.
