Had this at a tasting and bought several bottles, aged well, just opened last one. Aged for about 12 months in French oak barrels (15% new). Ruby, brown edges, with aromas of red and black stewed fruits and complex spice. On the palate, flavors of layered fruit, ripe black cherry and raspberry with cedar, tobacco, herbs and nutty notes. Full soft tannins, balanced acidity, long ending with fruit and earthy character. Outstanding! Worth the wait!

Quite vibrant and fresh for a 2008. Darker cherries and plums to complement a decided earthiness. Delicious.

Nicely resolved at this stag. Dark tart cherries, black plum, cranberries, cherry juice, juicy strawberries, reduced pomegranate, cooked rhubarb, super fine minerality & and chalk, wet pebbles, pink florals, acidity is right on with a nice elegant finish. If you have the 2001, it's a drink now and over the next 2-3 year at most.
