Very interesting wine, usually Verdejo is not aged in wood casks, this wine has a fair amount of oak and more of a Chardonnay aroma, a bit of a cross between a Californian Chardonnay and Montrachet minerality. Deep gold color. Aromas of butter, cream, grapefruit, oak and a hint of minerals, medium to full smooth creamy body with good acidity,lightly buttery, pleasant finish. Interesting yet not my cup of tea, I prefer the classic fresh Verdejo. My score 85, drink to 2018

Nice old vine Verdejo. Agree that it's quite similar to a barrel fermented Chardonnay. Stone fruit, white flowers, butterscotch on the nose with a super creamy mouthfeel and enough acidity to keep the structure together. Nice
