Glistening ruby-red. Powerful red and dark berry, espresso, floral oil and mocha scents are sharpened by a strong spicy topnote. Lush yet energetic as well, offering appealingly sweet black raspberry, cherry cola and candied rose flavors that show fine definition and back-end lift. Finishes very long and smooth, with discreet tannins framing lingering red berry preserve and floral notes. 23% new French oak. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2022)

Had this over 6 months ago, had more in the cellar, aged well. Ruby with full red fruit & sweet spice aromas. On the palate Blackberry and Raspberry fruit with flavors of espresso and cacao, lively acidity and some sweet baking spices. Lingering finish, tannins that are developing nicely, ending with earthy mineral tones. Nice!

Ruby with full fruit & sweet spice aromas. Blackberry and Plum fruit with flavors of espresso and cacao, lively acidity and some subtle baking spices. Lingering finish, dry tannins that need some time, ending with earthy mineral tones. Nice!

More my style when compared to the Walter Hansel. Cola, mushrooms, wet forest floor, and ripe red cherry.

Tasty, with two gears of fruit then funk. Finished a little short.
