First couple sips seemed a little funky on the finish but it blew off. Good but not great. Very big and bold for a Rioja.

Bright magenta color, the oak aging comes through on the nose with vanilla and chocolate covered coconut, backed by pretty cherry fruit, sage and wildflower aromas. The palate is new age Rioja, floral and pretty while still maintaining a peppered edge. Paired with a lamb shank and ribeye, went well with both.

Medium bodied and good freshness, crushed fresh red and black fruit with good persistence and good structure.
Predicador spends only 3-4 months in bottle before release. 90k bottles of production which is more than usual in 2013 because they used most of of the production because of poor vintage conditions and did not make anything above the Cueva wine.
96% Tempranillo, 2% grenacha, 1% each Mazuelo & Gracias, 12 mos used oak barrel aging

Big, luscious, smokey. Good tannins, and a lingering finish. Not my style per se but it's well-made, and not completely over done. Stylistically, it reminds me more of Ribera del Duero or Toro.

2008, crushed raspberry, some oak, needs 30 minutes open to drink at its best.

A simple $10 Rioja. Nothing more, nothing less. WYSIWYG wine.

Modern style, polished, drinking nicely. Not the most complex bottle ever but nicely done.
