Temperance Hill Pinot Noir

dark ruby; cherry, cranberry, cola, some earth, slightly herbal tang; nice fruit, fine grained tannin, bargain store $37

Smokey, meaty, gamey nose. Dark cherry, spicy. Super long finish, great acid.

Peppery and smokey. Tasting plums, strawberries, and sour black cherries. Not my favorite Adelsheim, but still a fine wine.

Deep red. Smokey flavor with blackberries and dark cherries. Another lovely wine from one of my favorite wineries for Pinot Noir.

Umami. Aged nicely. Dry

Earthy tones, great finish, classic Pinot Noir flavor from Willamette Valley.

Meaty, gamey and smooth 😛

2012 was a great year in the Willamette Valley and this wine shows it. IMO, Temperance Hill is Adelsheim’s flagship wine. Mineral and fruit, you can almost sense the stone in the soil, and the ripeness of the fruit.

Subtle dark cherry and red plum, maybe a hint of clove or gentle tobacco notes on the nose. Smooth and silky across the tongue. Dark berry on the back. Temperance Hill is the only Pinot Noir to get from Adelsheim; consistent and never disappoints, pretty close to a sure thing, IMO.

Outstanding example of Oregon Pinot Noir, Chehalem Valley AVA. Minerals and earth, fruit on the nose.
