Unfortunately this was either flawed or the vintage is over the hill- ripe red and blue fruit with a touch of funk on the nose. Palate is flat and uninspired - no tannins and low acidity.

When recently bottled this wild, untamed wine was searching places. By now, it's settled down, bought a flat in the outskirts of town where kids attend an environmentally correct upbringing. And I love that. Classic interpretation of the future.

Grabbed this to have with Turkish food. Excellent decision. Dark ruby red with blue hues. A little dirty on the nose with some prune notes. Beautiful tart berries, blue and red ones on the palate. Slight crisp pinch near the finish. Smooth and delicious. Moderate plus tannins and acidity (7.5/10). Long finish with the tart acidity and low to moderate body. Very surprised and need to seek out more of these!

Note: 98% Cinsault and 2% Syrah, bottle number 116/2280.

Really like this wine, rustic and chewy, lovely fruit weight, bigger than expected, but well girdled. 2014

So nice. Made even better when drunk over lunch with an old friend.
