Color of dark purple with mix of deep ruby. Nose of dark fruits and spice, sour cherry, cedar wood, tobacco leaves, and strong alcohol. Taste is chewy and slightly sweet, good tannins, tobacco leaves, a bit hickory, a bit mineral, strong alcohol feeling still. Aftertaste of some more blackberry, more tobacco leaves and oak, sweet yet again feeling too alcohol strong. I actually wish more from Trader Joe’s.
