A beautiful, cool early Autumn evening, relaxing by a fire in the chiminea.

Warmed black cherry, dehydrated red cherry, wet cinnamon stick, moist compost, rain soaked grape vines, warm licorice, cherry syrup, tart red apple peel, partially dried plum, light tannins.

Wow, my buddy's bottle contribution to the evening, total pleasure to drink this wine! Can hold until 2026-2030+ in proper storage.

Hedy’s main entree, Duck Confit - Bread Pudding made with Brioche, Bried Cherries, Kale, Nutmeg, and Mushroom Puree.

I brought three Burgundies with me. This was good with a dark seasoned Duck Confit. However, the 2012 Gevry-Chambertin hit the fruits notes in the Bread Pudding made with Brioche, Bried Cherries, Kale, Nutmeg, and Mushroom Puree over the Duck Confit.

I found this to be a little aromatically light (its young) but this had this saline core I really enjoyed. I've always liked their wines.
