Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir

Notes from La Paulee 2023 in NYC. High aromatic intensity. Very ripe and plush. Med+ concentration. Very floral. Lifted red flowers, red cherry blossoms. Orange peel, tomato leaves. Med+ acidity, med+ tannins, med+ finish.

Off year / great producer - means drinkability for the masses. Awesome village wine. And a great year is ….. more expensive? And ?

Took awhile to wake up, but once it did..dynamite...red fruit, pomegranates/strawberry, tart cherry, lavender, slightly gamey, leather, savory herbs and great acid...

Medium ruby; medium intensity aromas of red fruit, wild strawberry, cherry, red currant, pomegranate, gaminess, savory spice like allspice, black tea, white mushroom; dry, medium plus acid, medium plus tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, medium intensity flavors consistent with aromas; medium plus finish, seamless integration, perfume fills the palate, very good

Pretty cherry fruit at the front. Medium bodied and pretty. Quite simple but great quaffing wine

The Mallard was 95 points.

Lean and classic chambolle fruit. Ok but a bit stinky and simple.

Tart red fruit, sweet licorice, menthol and spice, dry lingering finish.

Super young and tight. The last sip was the best. Classically reductive style. Given some time, should be a gem. Sous Bois, cherry. Great grip and mouthfeel.

Light red fruits dominate here. Lots of potential for a solid village wine
