Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Such a beautiful cab, everything one is looking for in Napa. Deep ruby/purple. Dark ripened fruit with oak and vanilla aromas. Some coffee and dark chocolate. It’s bold and smooth with beautifully balanced acidity and medium tannins. Good, long finish.

Got this magnum myself at Cakebread cellars about 7 years ago. Great to finally open it for an Xmas party. Full bodied, enjoy it, but not “omg”.

Well made California Cabernet.

Oak. Leather. Dark fruit. Fantastic.

Delicious cab. Chose this for my valentine. Glad I did. Opens up quickly, beautiful cassis and red fruit notes. Light tannins, but structured enough.

This beautiful wine is already quite evolved. Inky in color, this Cabernet Sauvignon by Cakebread begins with aromas of anise, mocha and red bell pepper with wild blackberry. The palate shows good balance and weight with black tea, anise, mocha and sandalwood flavors. This shows good intensity and elegance. Drink 2018-2028- 91

Very enjoyable and met expectations. Tannins are sharp, fruit is medium long on the finish. Needs a few years to mellow out.

Dark currant and cassis berry fruit with toasty oak spice fresh plowed earth and tobacco spice. Ripe berry fruit with a nice amount of spice excellent structure and spiced finish

Felt past peak, all tertiary flavors, but like two of them. Kind of a disappointment. From magnum.
