Indulgent and elegant at once. Big, enticing nose draws you into intense flavors of prunes, juicy blueberry, pencil shavings, forest floor. Long ass finish of those prunes. Nice acid and med body, soft tannins. A treat.

Blackberry, red cherry, cocoa, baking spice, gravel. Med+ acid, med+ tannin. Fruit forward, concentrated. Luscious with good structure.

In 1987, Ray & Nancy started Elyse Winery with 286 cases of Zinfandel from the Morisoli Vineyard, which is still a cornerstone vineyard source for the winery. Dark Ruby with rich ripe berry aromas. Flavors of blackberry and raspberry with cinnamon and cacao notes. Very soft dry tannins on lingering finish ending with some earthy spice tones. Outstanding!

Pours jam in color. ON THE NOSE: black cherry, black olive, blackberry and smoke. ON THE PALATE: black cherry, chocolate and vanillin. Well integrated tannins. Medium body long finish.

Cork in perfect condition. Beautiful, deep, dark garnet-purple. No real visual signs of age. Bouquet of crunchy red fruits. Raspberries and currants with relatively modest power. Tannins are firm and acid is sufficient though I can't see any upside as the fruit is starting to tire after hour three turning to over-ripe plums.

2007 Cab poured in January 2023.. Intense color, soft tannins and mild aroma.. Maybe a bit past its prime but still good.
