Interesting wine. As it warmed and opened, it kept getting better. Strong cherry fruit and an almost elegant after/taste. Definitely would do this again, but would decant and let sit for awhile before drinking.

This was a lovely Pinot but needed many more hours of being opened. In the style of Cali Pinots like Sea Smoke or DC but I would love to see how this will be drinking in another 5 years or so. First time having this producer but won't be the last!

First of a big batch of Testarossas from WB…fantastic Pinot, cherry is predominant, maybe the slightest bit too fruity? J smells smoke but I’m not really getting that. Maybe it’s my mood, but didn’t leave a ton to the imagination - though not a bomb at all. I’ve been spoiled w good Pinot lately so the bar is high

This held up just fine for 7+ years. Decant to reduce the funk. Cherries, stewed fruit, all in balance. I promise to stop saying mean things about California Pinot for a while.

Pale purple and ruby hues with a delicate haze. Black cherry crisp, raspberry jam, plum sauce, almond paste, vanilla bean, spearmint, sage, sweet basil, molasses, cardamom, lemongrass, and dried lavender notes on the nose. Tart cherries and herbal influences on the palate. Medium- body and medium acidity. Nicely balanced with a semblance of reserve softening into a juicy ripeness with each encounter. Pairs nicely with herbed pork tenderloin wrapped in prosciutto, roasted butternut squash, and steamed haricots verts.

Vintage 2013. ABV 14.2%.

Favorite from testa rosa, nature and drinks more like a cab. Not peppery though. Great single vineyard wine

Really floral (it reminds me of roses and violets) and a lot of plum. This wine is delicious!
