Think we had a corked wine. That pungent nose released a bit, but still tainted the experience. Softer tannins, but astringent taste. Too bad.

Still youthful. Opaque dark ruby color. Lots of red and black currant fruit, hints of tobacco, leather, spices. But, it’s just lacking something in the middle.

It Was the battle of the 1999’s tonight!
I believe this came in second place. Very light and somewhat Bordeauish in style.
The tannins are gone, the dark opulent fruit is gone, I’m getting forest floor, Dark cherry, Graphite and a medium to long finish. I think I may prefer it to drinking young!
