Just had to try another bottle. From an Oakville vineyard, dark Ruby, a rich and complex Cab loaded with berry, currant, spice box and cedar aromas. On the palate blackberry and sweet cherry flavors with notes of pepper, smoke and sweet herbs. Refined tannins, but still tight, long ending with a fine sweet smoky cedar character. Very nice has room to age for a decade or so, but great now!

Aug 14th, 2020Spectacular cab from Oakville. Beautiful on the nose and complex on the palette. Plenty of rich fruit and structural tannins. This will age nicely but is quite enjoyable now.

Very fruit forward. Black raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, dark cherries, light soft spice, baking spices and refined soft minerals. One of the top 5 wines of the 14 presented.

On the palate; ripe, jammy fruits of; blackberries, black plum, black raspberries, blueberries, olallieberries, hard gritty minerals, dry stone, leather, underbrush, poached strawberries come on late, lavender, liquid violets, dark chocolate powder, vanilla, & caramel. Finishes well with; round, ripe, fruits and good acidity. Barrel tasted the 2016 vintage at the Nickel & Nickel Entrecôte.
