Deep Ruby, purple hues, aged in French oak, with aromas of ripe dark fruits and floral spice. On the palate flavors of fresh blackberry and black currants with notes of licorice, vanilla and tobacco, slight citrus zing. Medium+ finish, fine soft tannins, crisp acidity, ending dry with fruit and slight earthy notes. Nice!

This is a 2017 barrel sample of the Angelica Vineyard. Although, our host was only about 80% sure of his read on the barrel code.
On the nose; loads of ripe ruby dark cassis and baking spices; cinnamon, vanilla and just a touch of clove, rich dark soils, blackberries, black raspberries, blue fruits dark cherries, dark chocolate, and purple florals & violets.
On the palate; ripe ruby dark cassis and baking spices; cinnamon, vanilla and just a touch of clove, rich dark soils, blackberries, blueberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, dark chocolate, grounds, coffee dry rocks & dry river stones, soft leather and purple florals & violets. Very good acidity. The finish is already beautifully round, balanced and polished.

Bold ruby in color. Mild and pleasant to the nose. Plum, black fruit, blueberry and a hint of coca to the palate. Long smooth lingering finish. One of the better Malbec from Argentina. Very good value.

Mar 1st, 2016Dark Ruby Malbec with a mix of Vanilla Chocolate black cherry on the nose. Very soft on the mid-pallet tasting licorice and cherries - beautiful long finish. Thanks to my friend in Buenos Ares- love it Mariano!!!
