Green steamed but ok as a basic quaffing wine

Surprisingly good for the price and the screw off cap!! Not something to serve the in laws but a nice light red that finishes with a mint tone. Def would buy again!

Ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Nice and fruity on the nose with blackberries, red currants, sweet cherries, bell pepper, vegetables, citrus, oak, vanilla, cloves, alcohol, and peppercorn.

Medium in body with high acidity and nice legs.

Tart on the palate and dry with strawberries, cranberries, sour cherries, wood, spices, herbs, green vegetables and peppercorn.

Tangy finish with soft tannins and tart pomegranates.

This South African Cabernet Sauvignon is unbalanced and simple.
A good food wine, but not one to drink by itself. Probably lost some of its charm by now.
Needs 30 minutes to open up.

I paired it with nice weather and the pool.

14% alcohol by volume.

Was not expecting to get so much wine for so little money. I'm having a tough time thinking of a better Cab-dominant Bordeaux blend at this price point, and there's enough acidity and complexity to give it hope of improving with a little cellar time. You could easily do far worse for three times the price.
