Very fragrant of dark cherry, pepper and jamminess. Drinks very smoothly, is light bodied, and has smooth flavors of berry, cherry and strawberry. Silky and smooth on the palate...very easy to drink!!

I love Carlisle, but if the mantra that they all need tons of rest holds true then that goes double for this one. Day 2 and it's just starting to open up and give a peak. Will hold another 5 years before I check in again.

Very different from my last bottle 3 years ago. Much more refined, dull, boring, etc. Where’s Big BBQ/Cigar Zin?!

A bit lighter body than u normally see with Carlisle zins but a mouthful nonetheless. I think I like the Sonoma County bottling better.

Carlisle is one of several winemakers who make wine from this heritage vineyard. Zin yes but in classic field blends from the late 1800’s, this one also includes some Alicante Bouchet, Caignane and Petite Sirah. The results are magnificent. Decanted two hours before dinner and it still opened up over the next couple of hours. My hats are off to Carlisle for making such wonderful wine with such precious resources. A proper Father’s Day celebration! Wow!

Tons of raspberry! Toasted fennel seed on the back end. Medium to light body, and an appropriate tannic structure to match. This is a solid, everyday drinker.

In a great place right now. Beautiful wine; consumed over 3 days and the more air the better; super floral nose; perfectly ripe and lifted fruit and floral palate; rich and round tannins.
