This is a spectacular value. I am a sucker for cab franc & more specifically 100% cab franc. This wine requires at least 30 mins of decanting to really open up. Cherry and blackberry are the front runners with this one. Pleasant on the nose too. Drink over the next 3-5 years.

Nice structure, but the flavor profile didn't work for me. The fruits seemed overwhelmed by a strong cinnamon accent. In the glass this smelled just like those scented pinecones at Christmas! Even though this is from California, I was hoping for just a bit more savory like red pepper or peppercorn.

Paprika, Red Fruit, Bell Pepper, Black Cherry. Fresh with a small dose of tannins. Would pair well with a spanish paella.

Black cherry, violet, plum, graphite, maybe some slight green herbs. Well balanced on the palate with concentrated dark fruit, medium acidity, and medium tannin. Touch of alcohol heat on the finish.

Solid pop and pour with grilled meats especially for the price.

This was my first cab franc & I enjoyed it’s juiciness with a peppery background.

smells of stewed plums, red apples, redcurrants, wood...on the palate: blah. just tastes like a basic California red blend- not much like cab franc.
