Oldest Cinsault vineyard in California. Heard someone say the world but that seems like a reach. We do make great juice in California. Welcome to The Californian!

Abe’s wines are often hit or miss for me. This one was absolutely, 100% a hit. Singing.

Medium light garnet color with aromas of strawberry, rose petals, and hints of white pepper. Light bodied with dried red fruit character and minerality on the palate finishing with a bit of light, gritty tannin. Somewhat reminiscent of a cru Beaujolais. Made from 100% Cinsault with no added sulfites aged in neutral oak barrels. Sourced from Bechtold Ranch vineyard in Lodi planted in 1870 on its own roots. 13.32% ABV. $45.

Juicy and bursting with crushed red berries, counterbalanced by perfectly judged, stalky tannins.. Not really complex, but irresistible nonetheless.
