Dark inky in color with a reddish/brick rim.

Nice nose of black currants, blackberries, plums, oak, vanilla, green vegetables, pencil lead, earth, leather, tobacco leaf, dark chocolates, cloves, spices, herbs and peppercorn.

Full bodied, spicy and bold, with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, black currants, blackberries, oak, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, coke, alcohol, vinaigrette, graphite, vegetables, earth and peppercorn.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.

This Chilean Cabernet is drinking nicely now with nice complexity. A little hot at the back of the throat and not fully balanced yet, but enjoyable by itself or with food like BBQ steak. Spicy with a great mouthfeel and a tangy finish.

Needs 3 hours in a decanter to open up properly, so take your time and let it breath. This 4 year old is still young and will be better in a year or two.

14% alcohol by volume (feels like more than that)

Chewy and spicy with a strong yet smooth finish. A touch young but shows great potential.

Dark ruby in color with inky rim.

On the nose, vanilla (mainly), blueberries, figs, blackberries, cherries, wood, spices and black pepper.

Dry on the palate with smoke, blackberries, spices, wood, blueberries, figs and peppercorn.

Medium to full-bodied with a nice mouth feel.

Long finish with round tannings and black pepper.

This is a very enjoyable, yet young, Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile. Would be even better with a big piece of steak. I had it by itself and enjoyed it very much.

Subtle flavors make this wine not overly bold but give it some complexity. Hints of citrus and chocolate. Rolls well off the palate and a very mild after taste. Could do with a bit of age. Overall solid wine selection with a nice tenderloin or a rack of lamb. $20

Good complexity, cherry, raspberry and a little spice. Definitely needs time to open up.
