On the nose; wild purple florals; blackberries, black plum, black raspberries, dark cherries, vanilla, black pepper.

The body is full. Tannins are quite astringent. The fruits are ripe and slightly lean. Blackberries, blueberries, plum, days plum, black raspberries, muddy black earth, some green pepper, leather, dry stones, leather, old tobacco and bright lovely florals. The acidity is fresh & lively. The balanced finish is good but is quite short.

Photos of, a fuller shot of the old residence, outside shit the Viña with some old early 1900’s equipment, Stone work art piece in a tasting area and Estate vines.

Overpowering alcohol at first but it just needed some decanting. After sitting out for a while it mellowed, and had a much softer tannin feel compared to the Casillero del diablo

This was a rough week and Friday couldn't come soon enough. I have opened the 2014 Concha y Toro Marques de Casa Concha Carmenere. I have really started to like these Carmenere's from Chile and the QPR'S are off the charts.

The aromas a very pleasing with notes of blackberry, black cherry, sweet raspberry, plum, floral notes and a nice minerality.

On the palate the green bell pepper that I really like is very prevalent, there is notes of blackberry, red raspberry, herbaceousness, cocoa powder, pleasant oak, vanilla and dry soil.

There is medium + acidity, smooth fine sweet tannins with a long savory finish.

Enjoy the weekend and please be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷🖒
